Many investigations of microwave-enhanced pre-reduction of low-grade manganese ore using different reducers have been carried out [19], [20], [21].Dankwah et al. [19] utilized waste plastic as a reducing agent, and their results showed that microwave irradiation effectively calcined MnO 2 to Mn 2 O 4, which first transferred to MnO and later to Manganese metal.
